As a military spouse, you’ve heard the saying before:

However,  it can take one to three years to go from a transplant to your budding season.  That’s why we’re here.

We want to help you thrive when you arrive!

Mission:

Military spouses are the heart of the team at Travis AFB. Our goals are to assist in creating a smooth transition for every military spouse before, during, and after their arrival to Travis AFB.  We want to empower our spouses to be prepared and knowledgeable community members who don’t have to be military “dependents”, waiting for their active duty members to inform them about Travis events and the community. Instead, we want to foster the necessary independence of our spouses, allowing their active duty spouse and families to become mission ready more quickly.

We also know that as a military spouse, you have more on your mind than “mission readiness”.  What about making friends, finding a job, and having fun? That’s why it’s also our mission to facilitate social and professional connections on base and in the surrounding area.

On this website, you’ll find information about all of the exciting programs specifically tailored for our spouses at the Travis AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) and about the Spouses’ Clubs on base. You’ll also find plenty of helpful links to assist you in finding out whatever you need to know about our community, from housing to childcare to what to see and do in the area.
